I like this place but the food service has gone down hill. I had the cabbage rolls for dinner and they came to me so cold that the baked potato side would not even melt the butter. So disappointed with this place. I try to make it a regular stop when I come this way but now I am not sure if it’s worth the trip anymore.
Visited this place while on the road last Saturday. I cannot remember the bartenders name, but she was absolutely amazing!! She was just so cheerful and bright, it helped us get through another 6 hours of driving back to Chicago. Getting drinks was quick and the food came out shortly after. Food is reasonably priced and portion sizes were plenty!
Rare truck stop bar, separate from the Globe dinner(across the hall) but offers the full restaurant menu. Awesom beer and wings. You get 10 HUGE wings and the Sriracha-burban sauce is everything Really cool place with tons of history as this truck stop has been here FOREVER. Best stop in the area to do your 34.
I have some fond memories here through the years. Laid back and quiet in the early evening hours. Great food and drinks. People are always awesome and great conversations to be had here!
Good food, great service, cold beer! This place was a great spot to relax after a long week. Sit back take a load off, enjoy a cold beer and a good burger. So the good ends here, it's an independent business inside a truck stop, meaning the truck stop manages the restrooms, they're not great. Notice I never said great food, it's not. It better than your average roadside Joe's burger joint, and far beats out fast food, but there are much more enjoyable options out there. Final thoughts, completely worth the stop and I hope to get to do it again. And for all you truck drivers out there, the whole truck stop is amazing and has plenty of parking, come and check it out.
